Day 69: Phyotarian

Goal 24: What is a Phytotarian? Great question. I need to flesh out a better answer. It is how I informally describe my eating style. In a nutshell, it is:

1. Eating mostly plants.
2. Emphasing a diet which contains a high-level and wide-diversity of phytochemicals.

It is different from vegan or vegetarian as one can eat mostly plants and plant-based foods and still have animals products in small quantities, if desired. Yet, I do admit, 95% of the time, my daily eating style is actually the same as a vegan.

Phytochemicals are produced by plants and many seem to have amazing properties that actually enhance health.

This is a very basic definition. I plan to work out a more detailed explanation soon and post it to the web (probably with its own domain).
